The Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs Hatem Al-Bakri revealed on Thursday, 29 September 2022 that Israeli occupation forces and settlers attacked 15 mosques, since the beginning of 2022.
In a statement, Al-Bakri clarified that Israeli occupation forces and settlers’ violations aimed to allow colonial settlers’ offenses without any controls or restrictions, even on the substance of religious holy sites and mosques, pushing the region into a religious war whose results cannot be determined for the entire region.
In Bethlehem, the Israeli occupation notified of the demolition of a 220-square meters mosque under construction in the town of Nahalin in addition to a minaret through an administrative decision, a report by the Public Relations and Information Department of the Ministry of Endowments documented.
IOF prohibited the Palestinian worshipers from performing prayers in the Al-Hamidiya Mosque in the town of Al-Khader or carrying out restoration work on the site, claiming that it is an archaeological area.

In 2021, the Public Relations and Information Department of the Ministry of Endowments recorded attacks on more than 10 mosques in the occuiped West Bank by the Israeli occupation forces and settelers, in addition to dozens in the Gaza Strip as a result of the Israeli aggressions.
