Israeli occupation forces invaded Saturday, 1 Octobar 2022, the village of Al-Tawana in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron and fired stun grenades excessively toward the Palestinian residents’ homes, suffocating dozens of Palestinians.
Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces randomly fired stun and poison gas grenades at Palestinian citizens’ homes, suffocating dozens of Palestinian residents in the village.
IOF closed the Al-Tuwana entrances and prohibited a number of foreign solidarity activists from reaching the village to support its people against Israel’s constant attempts aimed to forcibly expel Palestinian citizens from their own lands.
Masafer Yatta, located in southern Hebron Hills, extends over an area of 30,000 dunams, with a population of 2,500 residents distributed over 12 villages or hamlets.
Masafer Yatta and surrounding Palestinian communities are subject to ongoing Israeli violations, including multiple assaults by illegal colonizers against Palestinian farmers and their lands.
More than 2000 Palestinian residents in Masafer Yatta are facing imminent expulsion from their homes by the Israeli occupation under the pretext of classifying it as a military training area for the Israeli forces in which the Palestinians have no right to live.
