Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian man on Tuesday night in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
This raised the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces in Jenin since the start of the Israeli offensive on the city to 12, while more than 100 others have been injured, some critically.
The latest of victims was Abdul Rahman Sa’abneh, 22, from the village of Fahma, who died of head injuries he sustained when he was shot by Israeli occupation forces yesterday, July 3rd.
The raid began at dawn on Monday, when Israeli warplanes bombed a house in the center of the Jenin camp, killing four members of the same family and injuring several others.
Then, about 150 military vehicles, accompanied by armored bulldozers, stormed the city and the camp from several directions, surrounded the camp, cut off the roads linking it to the city, seized a number of houses and buildings overlooking it, and deployed snipers on their roofs.
The Israeli occupation forces also cut off electricity in large parts of the camp and prevented ambulances from entering to transport the wounded. They also caused severe damage to citizens’ property, destroying many vehicles and bulldozing main roads leading to the camp.
The Israeli occupation forces also forced hundreds of residents of the camp to leave their homes under the threat of shelling them.
Confrontations between Palestinian resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation forces are still ongoing in Jenin and its camp, amid intense hovering of Israeli helicopters and drones that did not leave the sky of the area.
Palestinian factions and international human groups condemned the Israeli aggression on Jenin and its camp and called for a popular uprising to confront it. They also urged the international community to intervene to stop the Israeli violations of human rights and international law.
