Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday shot and wounded eight Palestinians in the West Bank city of Jenin and nearby areas on Tuesday evening, according to Palestinian medical sources.
Three of the wounded were shot with live ammunition during a raid by the Israeli occupation forces on Khalil Suleiman Government Hospital in Jenin, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry said the Israeli forces fired live bullets and stun grenades at the hospital staff, journalists, patients and bystanders in the hospital yard, causing panic and chaos.
Two of the three injured at the hospital were in serious condition, the statement added.
The Israeli forces also stormed the yard of another hospital, Ibn Sina Hospital, in Jenin, but no injuries were reported there.
In a separate incident, five Palestinians, including a child, were injured by Israeli occupation forces during confrontations at the entrance to the town of Kafr Dan, west of Jenin.
The sources said one of the injured was shot in the back with a live bullet, while the others were hit with shrapnel and rubber-coated metal bullets.
The clashes erupted after the Israeli forces raided the town and searched several houses, sparking resistance from the local residents.
