Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained Tuesday at least 15 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied territories, according to several sources.

They said that the IOF detained a Palestinian after breaking into and ransacking his parents’ home in Ras Karkar village, west of Ramallah.

In the Jerusalem district, soldiers detained a 16-year-old teen from Abu Dis town, east of Jerusalem.

In the southern West Bank, military vehicles stormed Harmala village, southeast of Bethlehem city, where the soldiers detained six others, including a 17-year-old teen, and ransacked the houses of their families.

Elsewhere in the southern West Bank, soldiers arrested a former prisoner from Surif town, north of Hebron. The former prisoner’s father is sentenced to life imprisonment in Israel for resisting the occupation.

Soldiers conducted a raid in Dura town, south of Hebron city, and detained one person.

In Jericho district, the sources said a raid of Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, west of the city, resulted in the detention of a teenager.

In the northern West Bank, soldiers forced their way into the al-Masaken al-Sha‘biyah neighborhood of Nablus, where they arrested a former prisoner along with his father, uncle and a cousin, before releasing three of them.

On Monday evening, undercover Israeli forces, known as Mista’arvim, sneaked their way into the outskirts of Nablus city and abducted a resident of Jenin refugee camp as he was on his way back home.

The number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in occupation prisons amounted to 4,700 as at the end of April 2022, including 32 prisoners, 170 minors and more than 600 administrative detainees.
