Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday evening stormed the eastern area of Nablus with more than 30 military armored vehicles, including a military bulldozer, to secure the settlers’ storming of Joseph’s Tomb under the pretext of performing their Talmudic rituals.
Israeli occupation soldiers were deployed in the vicinity of Joseph’s Tomb, as Israeli snipers rose to a number of buildings on Amman Street.
Dozens of young Palestinians had earlier closed the streets leading to Joseph’s tomb with burning tires, where Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas canisters extensively at the protesting Palestinians.
Local sources reported that a family with four children suffocated by Israeli tear gas. The family was hospitalized in Rafidia Hospital.
Sources from Nablus said that an assassination attempt by Israeli occupation forces against a Palestinian man was foiled.
