Israeli Occupation Forces IOF detained some 500 Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday night, April 4, 2023, following violent attacks against worshipers in the Al-Qibli prayer hall.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-detainees, IOF detained nearly 500 Palestinians after raiding Al-Aqsa Mosque last night.
Meanwhile, the commission of detainees and ex-detainees pointed out that many of the detained worshipers were assaulted and injured by Israeli forces.
On Wednesday morning, Israeli forces launched a new wave of against Al-Aqsa’a worshipers, attacking men, women, and elderly people and preventing them from praying.
The Israeli forces also kidnapped several Palestinians, including the journalist Wahba Makia who was covering the Israeli attacks.
The IOF’s attacks coincided with raids by Israeli Jewish settlers. Around 165 settlers, under the protection of IOF, invaded Al-Aqsa on Wednesday morning.
Israeli settlers carry out semi-daily incursions into the blessed Mosque in Jerusalem and provocatively perform Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
Meanwhile, Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem continue their calls to mobilize at Al-Aqsa to confront the Israeli settlers’ incursions, which increased during the holy month of Ramadan.
Since the start of the holy month of Ramadan, Israeli settlers and forces escalated their violence against Jerusalem’s worshipers and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
