Israeli occupation forces detained today, Saturday, January 28, 2023, three Palestinian citizens from Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in occupied Jerusalem.

Local Palestinian sources reported that the occupation forces raided the house of the family of the 13-year-old Mohammad Aliwat, whom they accuse of carrying out a shooting attack in the town of Silwan, and detained his father, mother, and brother.

It added that the occupation forces fired tear gas and stun grenades during confrontations that erupted in the town of Silwan after they raided the house of the Aliwat family.

They also assaulted the Palestinian press crews that were present in the place, as they were covering the situation there.

The Aliewat’s family denied the connection of their son, Mohammad, to the shooting. It confirmed that he was in the area by chance and the Israeli occupation forces shot him in the place.

The Israeli occupation forces left him bleeding on the ground without providing him with required treatment or allowing the medical staff to reach him.

The Israeli occupation always violates the international law, especially the Geneva convention, that protect the lives of civilians. It also states that any injured person, whether civilian or militant, must be medically treated and not to be deprived of his humanity.
