Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday blocked the primary access to Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, which is located in the southern region of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, as reported by WAFA.
Israeli occupation forces, who were armed to the teeth, had shut the metal gate set up at the village main entrance, obstructing the inhabitants from coming and going and compelling them to take long coarse dirt roads to get to their destinations.
In the West Bank, Palestinians suffer from severe freedom of movement restrictions because of the network of roughly 100 fixed checkpoints, flying checkpoints, roads for settlers only, and other physical impediments.
The imposition of closures, in conjunction with other steps taken in the name of security, strives to consolidate Israel’s 56-year military control of the West Bank, whose government is advanced through regular, and often fatal, violence against Palestinians.
