Days of Palestine – Gaza

Israeli occupation forces closed Tuesday, August 2, 2022 closed the Beit Hanoun “Erez” crossing for the movement of people, which is the only crossing in the Gaza Strip to occupied West Bank.

Raed Fattouh, head of the committee for coordinating the entry of goods into the Gaza Strip, said that the Kerem Shalom “Erez” crossing was suddenly closed by the occupation.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities deprived the families of prisoners in the Gaza Strip from the weekly visit to their sons in prisons, which is allocated every Tuesday through the Beit Hanoun “Erez” checkpoint.

In the morning, the occupation army announced the closure of the “Erez” checkpoint, as part of security measures it took in the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip, on the pretext that there was intelligence information about the intention of the Islamic Jihad movement to escalate after the arrest of its leader in the West Bank, Bassam al-Saadi.
