Israeli occupation forces brutally stormed Raymond Prison and violently attacked nearly 100 Palestinian prisoners, for allegedly searching for mobile phones, rights sources revealed Thursday.
In press statements, head of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority Qadri Abu Bakr said that pepper gas and batons were used during the attack.
Lawyers affiliated to the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority are preparing to visit the prison and check on the prisoners’ health situation, he added.
On the other hand, Abu Bakr pointed out that the lawyers also visited the hunger striker Khalil Awawda a few days ago in Ramle solitary confinement, adding that he is in a very critical health situation.
Meanwhile, the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Authority revealed that the prisoner Yahya Saeed Jaber died in Ofer prison in mysterious circumstances.
