Israeli occupation navy on Monday morning, September 5, opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that Israeli forces opened fire at the Palestinian fishermen while assuming their job in the southern areas of the Gaza Strip, west of Rafah and Khan Younis cities. No injuries have been reported.
As a result, Palestinian fishermen, under the Israeli heavy fire, were forced to leave the sea and go back to the beach, the sources reported.
About 3606 Palestinian fishermen risk their lives every day to make a living under difficult economic conditions. Since the start of 2022, the Israeli occupation has committed about 150 violations against Palestinian fishing in besieged Gaza.
