Israeli occupation navy on Sunday morning, July 3, opened fire at the Palestinian fishing boats while sailing off Gaza shore.
According to the fishermen’s committees, the occupation’s navy violently targeted the Palestinian fishermen’s boats in the west of the Sudaniya area in the northern Gaza Strip.
The committees added that one of the motors of the fishing boat broke down due to the Israeli gunfire.
Meanwhile, local sources reported that Israeli forces fired at Palestinian farmers on agricultural lands east of Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported.
4000 Palestinian fishermen risk their lives every day to make a living. According to the Palestinian Fishermen’s Association in Gaza, there are some 4,000 fishermen working in Gaza’s fishing sector, who are providing for about 50,000 dependents.
