Israeli occupation navy on Sunday evening, October 9, attacked the Palestinian fishing boats sailing off Khan Younis and Rafah shores, southern Gaza Strip.
Local sources reported that Israeli navy ships opened fire and attacked the Palestinian fishermen with shells in Rafah and Khan Younis.
The sources added that no injuries were reported. However, Palestinian fishermen were forced to stop working and leave the sea to find safety.
Under the Israeli blockade, Palestinian fishermen, farmers, and shepherds are subjected to constant Israeli attacks and violations, resulting in casualties or property damage.
In August 2022, Palestinian reports pointed out the Israeli occupation has committed about 150 violations against Palestinian fishing boats and fishermen since the start of 2022 in the besieged Gaza Strip.
