At least 40 displaced Palestinians were directly killed by an Israeli strikes on an UNRWA school located in the heart of Al-Nuseirate refugee camp, central Gaza, after Thursday midnight.
The Israeli occupation army commited a horrific massacre by bombing several rooms sheltering dozens of displaced people at Al-Nuseirat Boys Preparatory School in Al-Nuseirate.
The school is housing thousands of displaced people, from the north and south of the Gaza enclave, most of whom were women and children.
The Gaza government’s media office strongly rejected Israeli claims that the school was compounding Hamas fighters.
“The Israeli occupation uses lying to the public opinion through false fabricated stories to justify the brutal crime it conducted against dozens of displaced people,” Ismail al-Thawabta, the director of the media office, said.
The attack came as the Israeli army announced a new military campaign in central Gaza, which had already killed over 100 Palestinians since Tuesday, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
Late Wednesday, Israeli missile on Al-Hour family in Al-Bureij camp killed at least 7 civilian Palestinains, including a child, and severely wounding dozens of people and passerby.
Al-Aqsa Hospital’s spokesperson Dr. khalil Al-Dugran said the hospital is dealing with at least 141 Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks in the middle area in the last 48 hours.
The Government Media Office in Gaza condemned the Israeli occupation’s perpetration of genocide through such harsh massacres, and condemned the American hypocrisy which gives ‘Israel’ the green light to continue this genocide.
“We demand that the international community pursue the Israeli and American war criminals who participate in these daily massacres and this genocide against civilians in the Gaza Strip,” the office added.
