DaysofPal- In the early hours of Wednesday, Israeli Occupation forces (IOF) launched a deadly assault on displaced Palestinians, destroying residential blocks across Gaza City as part of their ongoing campaign of devastation and forced displacement against residents of the city.
Palestinian media reported that at least 20 people, mostly women and children, were killed, and dozens were injured, when Israeli warplanes bombed a building housing displaced families near Gaza City’s Firas Market.
The Palestinian Ambulance and Emergency Service initially confirmed seven deaths and dozens of injuries from the same strike.
Images from the aftermath revealed women and children wrapped in white shrouds, while medics scrambled to rescue the wounded.
In a separate attack, Israeli aircraft struck near Yarmouk Market, killing one woman and injuring several others. Another raid on al-Sahaba Street hit a home, leaving two people dead and more wounded.
Through the night and into the morning, western and southern Gaza City came under relentless fire, as artillery shells and airstrikes shook entire neighborhoods. Residents described Israeli forces firing flares over al-Nasr and Tel al-Hawa, turning the sky into a scene of horror.
On the ground, IOF also used explosives to demolish homes in Sheikh Radwan and al-Jalaa Street in northern Gaza, part of what Palestinians call a systematic campaign to wipe out neighborhoods and terrorize civilians into fleeing.
This latest massacre highlights the escalating Israeli effort to depopulate Gaza City through mass killings, continuous bombardment, and widespread destruction, leaving civilians with nowhere safe to turn.
