The Israeli Supreme Court convened a new session on Monday, June 26, 2023, to discuss the case of Palestinian prisoner Ahmed Manasra from Jerusalem, who is held in solitary confinement in Israeli prisons.
Khaled Zabarqa, the lawyer from the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, affirmed that a new court session would take place at 3:30 p.m. to review the defense team’s motion against the ongoing solitary confinement of prisoner Manasra.
The motion is based on the deteriorating mental and physical health conditions he is experiencing.
It should be noted that the Israeli court extended Manasra’s solitary confinement in March of last year for a period of six months, set to end in September.
Ahmed has been held in solitary confinement since October 2021 and is facing severe psychological and health issues.
