Israeli occupation forces IOF summoned Sunday, July 9, 2023, a Palestinian with Down syndrome from the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, despite his mental and health condition.
Local Palestinian sources reported that Israeli troops have detained Palestinian Osama, 22, who suffers from Down syndrome, though they know that he has a special card stating his condition and preventing his arrest and summons.
Osama has two other brothers who have been under house arrest for two months, namely Ayham, 13, and Ahmed 14.
Palestinians with disabilities face daily challenges due to the Israeli occupation.
It’s reported that his family is subjected to continuous Israeli violations with no clear and reasonable justification.
