In the early hours of Sunday, the IOF invaded the city of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank, catching Palestinians by surprise in their sleep, and besieged its refugee camp.
Media sources reported that dozens of military vehicles and a military bulldozer belonging to the Israeli occupation army raided the Tulkarm camp and surrounded it from several directions.
Confrontations ensued as a result, with Israeli forces directly opening fire with live ammunition on Palestinian youth. Local sources confirmed that the martyrs were identified as Anas Jbawi and Abdulrahman Taqsh.
Massive Destruction
Media sources shared videos showing an Israeli bulldozer razing Nour Shams’ streets, causing destruction to the infrastructure.
The Israeli occupation bulldozers excavated the main road adjacent to the Nour Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarm city.
They removed the asphalt layer from this road, which serves as the primary entrance connecting Tulkarm to the cities of Jenin and Nablus.
General Strike
The Tulkarm Directorate of Education has declared a city-wide general strike in all schools as a mark of mourning for the lives lost to the Israeli occupation’s gunfire during the raid on the Nour Shams refugee camp.
Meanwhile, several Palestinian factions mourned Tulkarm victims, expressing anger at the ongoing Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank.
