DaysofPal – Israeli occupation forces fatally shot a 70-year-old Palestinian man on Sunday morning at the entrance of the Jenin refugee camp, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. Emergency teams transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The killing comes just hours after Israeli airstrikes and attacks on Saturday evening claimed the lives of five Palestinians, including a child, in Jenin and the nearby town of Qabatiya.
According to media reports, an Israeli strike targeted the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, resulting in the death of a child. A second attack in the same area killed two more young men. Meanwhile, in Qabatiya, an Israeli airstrike hit a vehicle, killing two additional Palestinians.
These crimes are part of an ongoing Israeli assault on Jenin and its refugee camp, which began on January 21. Over the past weeks, the offensive has left at least 25 Palestinians killed and dozens wounded.
The relentless attacks have also caused widespread destruction, severely damaging infrastructure, roads, and homes, and displacing hundreds of families.
The situation in Jenin remains dire as Israeli forces continue their brutal attacks, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the area.
