Israeli occupation forces have detained over 300 Palestinian citizens in the massive military operation on the occupied Jenin, the Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies PCPS reported Wednesday, July 5.
PCPS said that Israeli troops kidnapped over 300 Palestinian in the last aggression on Jeinn at dawn Monday, July 3, and part of them were released after hours of investigations.
It indicated that the detentions targeted Palestinian youth, women, and children. Israeli forces detained entire families and subjected them to field investigation for hours after handcuffing and blindfolding them harshly to get information about the resistance fighters and their whereabouts.
Riyad Al-Ashkar, director of the Palestine Center, revealed that the Israeli forces gave every detainee a serial number, the last number reached more than 320, indicating the large number of Palestinian detainees.
They also deprived the Palestinian detainees of food for two days and only provided them with hot water to drink during their detention.
The Palestinian detainees were brutally assaulted and beaten by Israeli soldiers to provide information about Palestinian resistance fighters, said Al-Ashqar.
Israeli troops detained several Palestinian injured, including critical injuries, and now they are still in hospitals.
The Palestine Center called on international human rights organizations, the top of which is the Red Cross Committee, to urgently act and visit the detainees and check their health and conditions.
On July 3, Israeli troops carried out a massive military incursion into the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, killing 12 Palestinians and wounding over 100 others, including 20 critical injuries. They also displaced over 4000 Palestinian from their homes in the Jenin refugee camp and bombed dozens of their houses.
