Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished on Thursday, June 15, 2023, a Palestinian house in the city of Beit Jala, west of Bethlehem.
The IOF raided the Bir Ona area and demolished the one-story house belonging to the Palestinian Maher Rizk Zareenah.
The house, measuring 150 square meters, was demolished under the pretext of lack of permits.
The demolition of Palestinian houses by Israeli occupation has been a longstanding and controversial policy that has had a significant impact on Palestinian communities in the occupied territories.
The Israeli occupation justifies these demolitions on various grounds, including lack of building permits, security concerns, and zoning regulations.
However, critics argue that the policy is discriminatory, aimed at displacing Palestinians and expanding Israeli settlements.
