Israeli occupation forces attacked today evening Saturday, September 23, hundreds of Palestinians, who were engaged in peaceful protests alongside the separation fence east of the besieged Gaza Strip.
Local Palestinian sources reported that Israeli troops fired live bullets and toxic tear gas bombs at the protesters near the separation fence east of Gaza City and Rafah to the south.
Four young Palestinians reportedly sustained gunshot injuries to their lower extremities as a result of the occupation forces’ attack against the peaceful protesters at Malka camp, east of Gaza City.
The Israeli occupation forces unleashed a barrage of toxic tear gas canisters at the demonstrators, leaving a significant number of them struggling to breathe.
The protesters reportedly raised the Palestine flag and chanted slogans condemning Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
They additionally rallied for the resistance against the Israeli occupation and expressed solidarity with the Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem, who face mounting Israeli assaults and restrictions as they safeguard the holy city and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
These protests also responded to the ongoing Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners incarcerated in Israeli prisons.
