DaysofPal – In yet another harrowing scene of violence against unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip, new video footage has captured the moment a young Palestinian man was killed this morning in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, as he left his home carrying food supplies for his family. He was struck and killed instantly by an Israeli reconnaissance drone.
The footage shows the young man, visibly unarmed and holding only a small bag of provisions, being directly targeted. The attack resulted in his immediate death, his body torn apart just steps from his home.

The footage offers painful evidence of the daily danger faced by civilians in Gaza, where even the most basic act of survival — fetching food — can result in death. The young man posed no threat, and his killing underscores the increasingly indiscriminate nature of Israel’s ongoing military campaign.
Shuja’iyya has been one of the most heavily bombarded areas since the start of Israel’s latest assault on Gaza. The neighborhood has suffered widespread destruction and mass displacement. Emergency medical crews continue to struggle to reach the wounded due to ongoing airstrikes and blocked roads.
This killing is part of a broader pattern of violence in Gaza since 7 October 2023, when Israel launched a wide-scale military campaign. The conflict has left over 175,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, according to local health authorities — the vast majority being women and children. More than 11,000 people are still missing, many believed to be trapped under the rubble.
Amid growing reports of famine and total collapse of essential services, the situation in Gaza has been described by humanitarian agencies as catastrophic. Despite international concern, Israel’s assault continues unabated, backed by unwavering U.S. support.
