Israeli occupation army tightened siege on the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem Saturday morning, September 23rd, 2023, with more military raids and wide-scale searches taking place against Palestinians, their houses and property.
Witnesses confirmed that two Palestinian young men were injured and endured bruises at the Beit Iksa Israeli checkpoint, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, after Israeli soldiers raised the checkpoint’s stop arms under a car, leading to its crash and injuring those inside.
In Nablus, Israeli soldiers stormed the town of Zawata and the Maajeen area, firing tear gas canisters intensively towards stone-throwing Palestinian youths, dispersing them and causing suffocating injuries.
In response, the youth showered Israeli army vehicles with a barrage of stones and homemade explosive grenades. The forces then pulled out after patrolling in several areas as of Nablus.
Clashes also erupted with the Israeli occupation forces in Jerusalem’s town of Al-Eizariya as Israeli soldiers broke into some houses and started to carry out a thorough search campaign.
In Hebron, a group of colonial Israeli settlers harassed and attacked the child, Asad Khalid Al-Haddar, spraying him with pepper gas and assaulting his father in Masafer Yatta, according to local sources.
The child was moved to a nearby hospital in Masafer Yatta after he sustained moderate burns.
The sources pointed out that the settlers chased after shepherds in Massafer Yatta and prevented the child’s father from grazing his sheep on his land. As he tried to protest, the soldiers attacked him and pushed him to the ground.
Such offensive incursions and inhumane searches take place every day in both the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, where the army usually storms Palestinian houses at dawn, terrifying children, elderly and women.
Last August, they detained 510 Palestinian citizens, including 44 kids and 7 females, during many military raids across occupied Palestine.
