Israeli occupation authorities issued a decision on Monday, October 31, to seize 616 dunums of Palestinian-owned lands in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.
According to Ghassan Daghlas, an official who monitors the settlement file in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, the Israeli decision approved the confiscation of the Palestinian lands in Qaryut, Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, and Sawiya towns in order to expand Eileh settlement.
The illegal Israeli settlement of Eileh is one of the largest settlements in the West Bank which is linked to the Shiloh settlement.
Around 666,000 settlers live in 145 settlements and 140 settlement outposts established in West Bank and Jerusalem, according to the Israeli movement Peace Now.
