At least 100 Palestinian worshippers were torn in shreds in a massacre deemed the third largest since Israel’s genocide in Gaza’s Al-Daraj neighborhood.
On the 309th day of the ongoing genocide, a peaceful dawn prayer in At-Tabi’en school turned into a massacre as Israeli forces bombed the school, where thousands of displaced people, were seeking refuge, with three missiles, claiming the lives of over 100 people, turning most of them into pieces, and left dozens injured or missing.
The massacre has been classified as one of the deadliest assaults in recent weeks and bloodiest massacres since war, according to the Government Media.
The attack was carried out by three missiles, each loaded with 2,000 pounds of explosives, according to Ismail Al-Thawabta, Director-General of the Government Media Office. He accused the Israeli military of knowingly targeting civilians, condemning their narrative as a series of lies aimed at justifying the massacre.
Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said that nearly 90% of those praying in the school were murdered, with most injuries being critical.
Most of the injured sustained burns of first and second degrees in the head and chest, while others critically sustained legs amputations. On the other hand, the killed people were found only charred and torn bodies.
Al Jazeera reporters said local doctors were struggling to cope with the pieces of people, trying to consider each 70 k of flesh as one martyr.
The school, which housed over 2,000 displaced individuals, is the fifth shelter targeted in the last two weeks, and the number 150 of schools targeted since Israel’s war.
Eyewitnesses described the horror, stating that the bombing began immediately after the prayer commenced, causing a rapid rise in casualties.

Rescue operations are still ongoing, with ambulances and civil defense teams working tirelessly to move the victims to nearby hospitals.
Khalil Al-Hayya, Deputy Head of Hamas in Gaza, stated that the Israeli massacre in Al-Tabi’en school is part of a deliberate campaign to exterminate the Palestinian people. He added that Netanyahu received a green light from the US during his recent visit to Washington.
Hamas condemned the massacre as a significant escalation in the already unprecedented series of crimes committed against Gaza, attributing the violence to unwavering American support for Israel’s actions.
This latest attack further deepens the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as international calls for an end to the massacres continue to grow.
39,790 have been killed and 92,002 injured since the onset of the war, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
