Israeli airstrike killed a prominent Palestinian doctor and eight members of his extended family after they complied with Israel’s military orders to evacuate their home in Khan Younis, on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024.
The Hamdan family with its dozen people from three generations fled their home in Khan Younis in the middle of the night after the Israeli military ordered to evacuate several areas of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip.
Inside an Israeli-declared safe zone in Deir Al-Balah just hours after they arrived, an Israeli airstrike on afternoon hit their building.
The strike killed nine members of the family and other three, including five children and three women, according to hospital records.
Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that the Palestinian death toll due to Israel’s Genocide since 7 October reached to 37,953, with more than 87,266 wounded and an estimated 10,000 missing, likely dead and buried under rubble.
Health officials reported that around 70 percent of the victims are children and women.
