DaysofPal – At least 63 Palestinians have been killed since dawn Monday by Israeli army fire across the Gaza Strip, including 26 humanitarian aid workers, according to hospital sources. The deaths come amid a wave of intensified Israeli attacks and a deepening humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave.
The Israeli army launched a ground operation in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, where two Palestinians were killed in an airstrike targeting a vehicle. Elsewhere, Al-Shifa Hospital reported multiple injuries from Israeli gunfire in the Al-Sudaniya coastal area, northwest of Gaza City.
In Gaza City, Israeli forces bombed a displaced persons camp and struck a residential building housing a kindergarten in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, injuring a child and triggering scenes of terror among children inside the facility. Palestinian media reported widespread panic as Israeli aircraft targeted the roof of the kindergarten building while children were present.
Israeli forces also killed two Palestinians in the vicinity of an aid distribution center north of Rafah and another in a drone strike in southern Gaza’s central Khan Yunis.
As violence escalates on the ground, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Tuesday that 15 more Palestinians, among them four children, have died from starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours alone.
“Hospitals in the Gaza Strip have recorded 15 deaths, including four children, due to starvation and malnutrition over the past 24 hours,” the ministry said in a statement.
This brings the official death toll from hunger-related causes since October 2023 to 101, including 80 children.
Earlier on Tuesday, medical sources confirmed the deaths of a diabetic adult, a child, and an infant due to malnutrition, underscoring the increasingly deadly impact of Israel’s siege and the collapse of basic services.
Humanitarian officials and Palestinian authorities have issued repeated warnings of a surge in hunger-related deaths, particularly among vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and the chronically ill. The ongoing Israeli blockade and destruction of aid infrastructure have left hundreds of thousands of people without reliable access to food, clean water, or medical care.
