Between the 2000 and 2022 Israeli elections, Palestinians were not absent from the Israeli electoral scene. Israeli leaders consistently use Palestinian blood as a pawn on which the competing parties climbed to attract the Israeli voter.
The Israeli voter tends to the Israeli racist political figures who have a harsh military background and have killed more Palestinians so their blood becomes a ticket to win the elections.
Some of the Israeli racist political figures sought to wage wars on Gaza to retain power and dodge prosecution on corruption charges that are chasing them or to get rid of their opponents within their party.
Since 2001, 10 parliamentary elections have been held, 7 of which were preceded by military escalation against the Palestinian people.
Blood Doctrine
A long time ago, the resolution of the feverish competition between the Israeli parties depended on the shedding of Palestinian blood so bloody employment become an original basis in the Zionist creed.
This belief is also in line with the tendencies of Israeli society, which tends towards the extreme right. The Israeli parties, regardless of their political orientations and affiliations, have the rule kill more, you get more seats.
The military escalation that preceded the Israeli elections between 2008 and 2022 reflected the successive efforts Israeli government to export the society’s internal crises and transfer their conflict to the Palestinians.
Electoral Wars
In December 2008, former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who was facing corruption charges chose to export the internal political crisis with a military escalation that lasted for 23 days and claimed the lives of more than 1,436 Palestinians including about 410 children, 104 women, and 100 elderly people.
In November 2012, Netanyahu waged a military campaign on Gaza which lasted for 8 days, and claimed the lives of 162 Palestinians including 42 children and 11 women to win the parliamentary elections held on January 22, 2013, and continued as prime minister.
In July 2014, Israeli occupation launched a military aggression on Gaza which lasted for 51 days and claimed the lives of 2322 Palestinians including 578 children, 489 women, and 102 elderly people. This war came after the Israeli Knesset voted to dissolve itself and prepare for parliamentary elections that took place on March 2015.
In November 2019, the Israeli occupation launched a military campaign on Gaza which lasted for 3 days. Netanyahu found in the aggression on Gaza an opportunity to export his political and legal crises as an attempt to prevent his overthrow but he failed for the third time to form a government.
In May 2021, Israeli occupation launched an 11-day aggression on Gaza in which at least 257 Palestinians were killed.
In the end, Netanyahu failed to form a government and was overthrown by the formation of a coalition government headed by Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett that did not last long and disintegrated after about a year.
Palestinians expect the worst since terrorism and racism is the driving force of the Israeli elections.
Israeli Leaders Extended History of Racism
“I wish I could wake up one day and find that Gaza has sunk into the sea”
Yitzhak Rabin, The fifth prime Minister of Israel
“Beat them up, not once but repeatedly beat them so it hurts so badly until it’s unbearable.”
Benjamin Netanyahu, former Israeli prime Ministry
“I have killed lots of Arabs in my life and there is no problem with that”
Naftali Bennet, Former alternative PM of Israel
“Palestinians are beasts; they are not human”
Rabbi Eli Dahan, Israeli Deputy Defense Minister
In the shadow of the military escalation in the occuiped Palestinian lands, recent figures show that about 60% of Israelis are identified as ultra-racist right wing.
Israeli occupation escalated their terror attacks against the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem during which at least 135 Palestinians were killed as an attempt to pave their way back to power at the expense of Palestininan blood.
