Israeli prison service has rejected to provide medical treatment to 23-year-old Ibrahim Ammar Abbas, who is incarcerated at the Naqab prison and suffering from partial paralysis, according to Wafa News Agency.
Abbas was first arrested from an Israeli checkpoint in Jenin on April 23rd, 2023. According to his family, he became partially paralysed on July 15 the same year.
He is currently being imprisoned in administrative detention, without charges or trial.
The family is appealing to human rights organisations to intervene and help save his life, the agency reported.
There are 9700 Palestinians incarcerated in Israeli prisons, including 250 children amd 79 women, according to prisoners’ club.
3380 prisoners are listed under administrative detention.
From Gaza only there are more than 1400 prisoners, 18 of whom were tortured to death, since October 7.
About 561 prisoners were handed life sentences, according to Prisoners’ Support and Human Rights Association
