The Israeli occupation forces continue their violations in various Palestinian cities, especially Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.
In this context, and in response to the increasing attacks against defenseless citizens, the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, warned on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, the Israeli occupation against resuming the policy of assassinations against the leaders of the Palestinian resistance, and the consequences of this aggressive trend.
The media advisor to the head of the movement’s political bureau, Taher Al-Nono, explained that Haniyeh said in his message: “You follow with us the statements of the occupation and the escalation of its tone towards its plans to assassinate leaders in the movement, headed by Yahya Al-Sinwar, Saleh Al-Arouri, Muhammad Al-Deif, Zaher Jabarin and others.”
He stressed the great reactions that this approach entails, the extent and consequences of which no one can estimate, and it warns of a comprehensive confrontation between the Palestinian people and their resistance, and the occupation will pay an unaccounted price.
According to Al-Nono, Haniyeh called on countries to convey the message to Israel, and to warn its leaders of the consequences of implementing these threats.
He pointed out that Haniyeh assigned officials of the Office of Arab and Islamic Relations and International Relations to convey the same message to officials in Arab and Islamic countries and the international community, and put them before their responsibilities towards what Israeli policy could lead to in the region.
