DaysofPal – For the 140th day in a row, Israeli occupation forces have violated the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip by launching air and artillery attacks, conducting demolition projects, and firing on targets throughout the region.
Local sources reported Israeli artillery shelling east of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, alongside a large-scale demolition operation east of Khan Younis. Israeli military vehicles also opened fire toward the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah in the south. Additional shelling was recorded east of Gaza City, with heavy gunfire reported east of Khan Younis.
These incidents form part of recurring attacks that have targeted residential neighborhoods, areas surrounding displacement tents, and Palestinian police positions.
On the previous day, seven Palestinians, including a police officer, were killed and several others injured following a strike on a displacement tent in Khan Younis and air raids on Palestinian police points in Khan Younis and Al-Bureij camp. Gunfire was also reported in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.
The most recent daily monitoring report, which details violations up to the 138th day of the agreement, indicates that 652 people have been killed overall. The victims include 198 children, 85 women, and 23 elderly individuals, meaning the most vulnerable groups account for 46.9 percent of the total fatalities.
The number of wounded has risen to 1,669, including 507 children, 337 women, and 89 elderly people, representing 55.6 percent of all injuries. Field documentation has recorded 1,861 violations since the ceasefire took effect, an average of 13.4 violations per day. These incidents include gunfire, shelling, home demolitions, and ground incursions.
On humanitarian access, Israel has not complied with the provision requiring the entry of 600 aid trucks per day, including 50 fuel trucks. Only 43.3 percent of the agreed number of trucks have entered, while fuel deliveries have not exceeded 15 percent of the stipulated amount.
The shortfall has deepened the electricity, water, and sewage crises and disrupted efforts to repair damaged infrastructure. A total of 35,867 trucks have entered Gaza, with a daily average of 259.9 trucks, far below the agreed threshold.
At the Rafah land crossing, tight restrictions and reduced traveler numbers have continued. The total number of people traveling in both directions reached 1,844 out of an expected 4,400, reflecting a compliance rate of 41.9 percent. A significant gap remains between the actual movement of travelers and the figures outlined in the humanitarian protocol.
Although the ceasefire agreement has been in effect since October 2025, living conditions for Palestinians in Gaza have not shown meaningful improvement. A cumulative pattern of violations persists, including killings outside active confrontations, attacks on civilian facilities, obstruction of fuel and aid entry, and restrictions on movement. These developments place Israel under its obligations within the ceasefire agreement and international humanitarian law, prompting renewed calls for urgent international action to halt violations and ensure civilian protection.
