DaysofPal- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a new series of airstrikes, artillery bombardments, and naval attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, in what Palestinian officials and residents described as a blatant violation of the fragile ceasefire agreement declared nearly a month ago.
Since dawn, Israeli warplanes and artillery units have pounded eastern Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Deir al-Balah, destroying residential buildings and deepening the humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged enclave.
Eyewitnesses reported that entire residential blocks were reduced to rubble, as families trapped inside struggled to find shelter amid the chaos.
In Gaza City, witnesses described “belts of fire” from Israeli warplanes sweeping through the Al-Tuffah and Al-Shaaf districts, igniting widespread fires and forcing thousands of residents to flee into nearby streets and schools seeking refuge.
Heavy artillery shelling also hit the eastern outskirts of both Gaza City and Khan Younis, while in central Gaza, strikes targeted homes near eastern Deir al-Balah.
Meanwhile, in the southern city of Rafah, Israeli naval forces opened fire along the coast, further heightening fear among displaced families sheltering in overcrowded tents near the shore.
The ceasefire, announced on October 10, was intended to halt hostilities and allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.
However, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Israeli violations have continued daily. Since the truce took effect, at least 241 Palestinians have been killed and over 607 wounded, while rescue teams have recovered 511 more bodies from beneath destroyed homes and debris.
Overall, the Israeli genocidal war has now killed 68,872 people and injured 170,677 since October 7, 2023, when the large-scale assault began.
Humanitarian organizations warn that entire neighborhoods have been erased, leaving hundreds of thousands homeless and displaced.
Food, water, and medical supplies remain critically scarce, and hospitals are operating at a fraction of their capacity amid severe fuel shortages and the destruction of major medical facilities.
Local authorities in Gaza condemned what they called the “systematic destruction” of civilian areas and accused the Israeli occupation of using the ceasefire as a “cover to continue ethnic cleansing.”
Despite mounting evidence of continued violations, international powers have yet to impose consequences or enforce the ceasefire terms.
Palestinian officials have urged the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to intervene immediately, warning that Gaza’s population faces “total collapse” under the ongoing bombardment and siege.
As the world remains largely silent, Gaza’s residents continue to dig through the rubble, searching for survivors, loved ones, and a trace of normal life in a city that no longer stands.
