The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed Tuesday a number of water wells and archaeological areas in Masafer Yatta, threatening citizens and shepherds from using them.
The official of the Protection and Resilience Committees in Masafer Yatta, Fouad Amour, said that the crews of the so-called “Israeli Antiquities Authority,” accompanied by the IOF, raided an archaeological well in the Birin area of Masafer Yatta, and threatened citizens and shepherds by using the well or approaching it under the pretext that it is an archaeological site.
He added that the IOF carried out a tour of a number of villages and population centers, under the pretext of the existence of archaeological areas and lands, which citizens and their owners will be prevented from accessing.
