Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) shot Saturday, February 4, 2023 six Palestinian, two of whom are in a critical condition and detained three others after surrounding a house in Aqabat Jaber camp, to the south of Jericho.
Local sources said that the occupation forces, with military reinforcements, invaded the camp and surrounded a house, which led to clashes, as a result of which Palestinian citizens were wounded by live bullets, and others by rubber-coated metal bullets. It’s noteworthy that ambulances were prevented from entering the camp to transport the injured.
Sources added that IOF fired shells, demolished the walls of the besieged house, and asked through loudspeakers citizens inside to surrender themselves.
It is noteworthy that IOF invaded the city of Jericho yesterday, and fired a barrage of tear gas canisters towards Palestinian citizens’ vehicles, before they stationed near the entrance to Aqbat Jaber camp.
Amid the emergence of the new Israeli extremist government, such provocative acts are constant as IOF continued their siege of the city of Jericho for the eighth day in a row, through military barriers and cement blocks that they had erected since last Saturday, at the main and secondary city entrances.
