M.Y | DOP -

Days of Palestine – Nablus

Dozens of settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed on Monday the Luban e-Sharkiya village south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

Local sources said that dozens of settlers accompanied by IOF stormed the entrance of the village and obstructed Palestinian students’ access to the school.

“Several Palestinian citizens of Luban e-Sharkiya village suffocated from tear gas fired by IOF at them during trying to confront the settlers’ attack,” They added.

Meanwhile, IOF kidnapped yesterday evening the Palestinian youth, Baraa’ Owies, 25, from the village.

Attacks on education by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in Palestine constitute grave violations of children’s rights to education and development.

These attacks are particularly prevalent in the most vulnerable areas of the West Bank – Area C, H2, and Jerusalem.

Over 600,000 Israelis live in Jewish-only colonial settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
