Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) seized Monday, June 5, 2023, an area of 42 dunums of agricultural lands from the villages of Sarta and Bruqin in the occupied Salfit Governorate.
Amir Daoud, Director General of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Amir Daoud, that the lands confiscated are located in the area (2) of the eastern part of the lands of Sarta, and the area (2) of Khirbet Karkesh lands of the village of Bruqin.
Daoud indicated that the occupation forces seized the land under the pretext of “acquisition for public purposes” for the sake of settlements’ expansion, known as “Road No. 5”, which serves the “Budail” Israeli settlement established on Palestinian citizens’ lands west of occupied Salfit.
Settlers’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the occupied West Bank, as this includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on homes.
There are over 700,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in a blatant violation of International Law.
