Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) razed Sunday, May 21, 2023, lands belonging to the town of Asira al-Qibliya, and notified of seizing about 14.5 dunums of Palestinian citizens’ lands in the towns of Tal, Jit, and Far’ata, southwest of occupied Nablus.
The official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Daghlas, stated that the Israeli occupation machinery bulldozed lands in Asira Al-Shamaliya for the second time.
Daghlas added that IOF notified Palestinian citizens of the confiscation of their lands from the towns of Tal Hawd, an estimated area of 14.5 dunums for the sake of the expansion of Havat Gilad Israeli settlement.
Daghlas also pointed out that Israeli settlers’ attacks targeted Palestinian citizens in Madama by shooting at a Palestinian citizen, uprooting olive trees in Qusra, and destroying the contents of an agricultural room in Sebastia.
Settlers’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank, as this includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on homes.
There are over 700,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of International Law.
