The Israeli occupation forces re-detained Monday, August 15, 2022, a Palestinian man immediately following his release after serving his 21-year prison term he spent for resisting the Israeli occupation, according to local sources.
Director-General of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) Abdullah al-Zaghari said that 37-year-old Ashraf Asakreh was re-detained the moment he got out of the bus which carried him from the prison in Israel to Bethlehem.

Asakreh was detained by the Israeli occupation forces while he was 16-year-old in August 2001 and he spent his childhood in the occupation prisons.
