DaysofPal- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza for the 40th consecutive day, launching a series of air and artillery attacks across the Strip that left at least one Palestinian dead and several others injured.
Medical officials at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis announced that a Palestinian man was killed by Israeli fire in the Qizan an-Najjar area in southern Khan Younis.
A woman and her child were also injured when an Israeli drone targeted an area beyond the temporary “yellow line” in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Younis.
Journalists on the ground reported multiple Israeli airstrikes on Bani Suhaila, along with artillery shelling east of Khan Younis.
In Rafah, in southern Gaza, Israeli warplanes carried out another strike, while in the northern part of the Strip, Israeli artillery targeted the al-Sheima area north of Beit Lahia.
The attacks come amid a pattern of systematic and escalating violations by Israel since the ceasefire took effect.
In a statement, Gaza’s Government Media Office strongly condemned the continued “grave and deliberate” violations, saying that Israeli forces had committed 393 documented breaches of the ceasefire as of Tuesday evening.
These violations, it said, constitute a blatant breach of international humanitarian law and of the humanitarian protocol attached to the ceasefire agreement.
According to the Media Office, Israeli violations since the agreement was implemented have resulted in 279 civilian deaths, including children, women, and the elderly, in addition to 652 injuries of varying severity.
The statement also reported 35 arbitrary arrests during Israeli incursions and raids, which it said reflect “a clear determination to undermine the agreement and impose a bloody reality on the ground that threatens security and stability in the Strip.”
The office’s monitoring indicated that Israeli violations included 113 direct shooting incidents targeting civilians, homes, residential neighborhoods, and displacement tents; 17 ground incursions by Israeli military vehicles into residential and agricultural zones beyond the temporary yellow line; 174 air, land, and artillery strikes; and 85 demolitions of homes and civilian structures.
These actions, it said, amount to a systematic campaign of destruction and collective punishment that may constitute serious violations of the Geneva Conventions.
The latest escalation further heightens concerns that the ceasefire may collapse entirely as the Israeli occupation continues to carry out attacks across the Strip, despite international calls to uphold the agreement and protect civilians.
