DaysofPal — Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued to carry out air and ground attacks across the Gaza Strip early Monday, amid ongoing allegations of repeated violations of a fragile ceasefire agreement.
According to local reports, Israeli forces conducted overnight demolitions of residential buildings in eastern areas of the territory, while artillery shelling intensified on the sixth day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Witnesses said Israeli warplanes targeted eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, as unmanned aerial vehicles flew heavily over the city.
Israeli military vehicles also reportedly opened intense fire toward the eastern districts of Khan Younis and the Bureij Refugee Camp in central Gaza.
Israeli artillery shelling was also reported in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern part of the enclave.
In Gaza City, warplanes launched airstrikes on eastern areas of the city, accompanied by intermittent artillery fire targeting the same areas, according to residents.
The Gaza Health Ministry said Sunday that hospitals across the territory received two fatalities and three wounded individuals over the previous 24 hours, as humanitarian and health repercussions persist.
The ministry stated that since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 11, 2025, at least 614 people have been killed and 1,643 injured.
It added that 726 bodies have also been recovered from beneath the rubble during the same period.
In its cumulative figures since the start of the war on Oct. 7, 2023, the ministry reported that the death toll has risen to 72,072, with 171,741 wounded. It noted that Gaza’s healthcare system continues to face severe strain.
The escalation comes as humanitarian suffering continues across the enclave.
The Rafah Crossing remains operating at limited capacity in both directions, while local authorities noted that the Israeli occupation is failing to adhere to ceasefire provisions regarding the entry of humanitarian aid, commercial goods, fuel shipments, and the evacuation of patients and wounded individuals for treatment outside damaged hospitals.
