Hebrew sources revealed that the Israeli occupation forces intend to continue the siege on the Palestinian West Bank city of Nablus.
Last Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces closed a number of Nablus entrances and roads, alleging that the closure was implemented for security purposes.
Nablus has been subjected to repeated Israeli raids in recent months as Israeli occupation forces break into Palestinian homes, terrorizing and kidnapping their residents.
Earlier Sunday, Israeli occupation forces seized a Palestinian house and kidnapped the youth Hamza Al-Azizi in Balata camp, east of Nablus.
Acts of resistance have recently escalated in Nablus, following the Israeli occupation forces’ large-scale raids, which claimed the lives of dozens of Palestinians.
In 2002, Israeli occupation forces imposed a siege on Nablus, aiming at eliminating the resistance acts and weaning the city’s economy.
During the invasion, 90 Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces in Nablus. 200 others were injured as well.
20 years after the “Defense Shield operation in Nablus”, Israel renews the suffering in Nablus and targets civilians without any regard for international law.
