The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) carried out two bloody massacres at two schools in an-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza and ash-Shati refugee camp in the west of Gaza City, housing thousands of displaced Palestinians.
The Israeli attacks on the schools of Khaled Ibn al-Walid and Kafr Qasem — where over 10,000 displaced people live — claimed the lives of 10 civilians, including five children and women, and injured many others, according to GMO.
The Israeli army had already killed over 1,130 civilians in attacks on 183 shelter centers, including 163 schools.
Yesterday, 22 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on a Zeitoun school in the eastern part of Gaza City.
A strike on the UN-run al-Jaouni School in central Gaza on September 11 drew an international outcry after UNRWA said six of its staffers were among the 18 reported killed.
On August 10, more than 100 people were killed, and 150 others wounded after Israeli forces bombed al-Tabin School, east of Gaza City.
To date, about 85 percent of school buildings in Gaza have been damaged since Israel’s war on Gaza began.
At least 41,431 people have been killed and 95,818 injured in Israel’s war on Gaza.
