DaysofPal- Israeli Occupation forces (IOF) carried out a series of bombings and artillery attacks across several areas of the Gaza Strip on Thursday, in continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.
According to Palestinian media reports, Israeli artillery launched heavy and sustained shelling east of Gaza City while Israeli warplanes conducted repeated airstrikes in the same area.
Helicopter gunships and artillery units also targeted areas east of the al-Zeitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
In southern Gaza, Israeli aircraft launched multiple air raids accompanied by artillery fire on several locations east of Khan Younis, where military vehicles were also reported to have opened fire toward eastern sections of the city.
Artillery shelling was also reported in areas northeast of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The Gaza Health Ministry said that since the announcement of the ceasefire, at least 651 Palestinians have been killed and 1,741 others injured, while the bodies of 756 victims have been recovered from under the rubble.
The ministry added that the overall death toll since October 7, 2023 has risen to 72,136 people, with 171,839 wounded.
It noted that many victims are still believed to be trapped beneath collapsed buildings or lying in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams remain unable to reach them.
Despite the ceasefire announcement, reports of continued Israeli bombardment and ground fire have persisted in several areas of the Gaza Strip, raising concerns over the durability of the truce and the worsening humanitarian situation in the enclave.
