Israeli Occupation Forces attacked Wednesday evening, October 12, 2022 a Palestinian sit-in held near Shufat military checkpoint.
This sit-in occured as an act of protest against Israeli forces’ tight closure and collective punishment policy against Shufat refugee camp and nearby Anata town in occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli forces attacked the sit-in with tear gas canisters, and stun grenades, injuring the adviser of the Presidential Office for Jerusalem Affairs, Ahmed Al Ruwaidi, with a stun grenade and detaining two Palestinian youths.
Camp residents declared yesterday civil disobedience against the cruel Israeli collective punishment policy against more than 130,000 people and went out in protests and demonstrations, which were attacked by Israeli forces.
