DaysofPal – The “Ishara” platform, affiliated with the resistance security apparatus in the Gaza Strip and specialized in monitoring urgent signals of hostile activity, reported on Friday evening a notable escalation in continuous and intensive Israeli aerial intelligence activity over several areas of the enclave.
According to the platform, monitoring operations began at 9:30 p.m. over Khan Younis Governorate, where multiple Israeli reconnaissance aircraft were observed flying over the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis as part of sustained surveillance activity.
The statement added that at 9:35 p.m., an Israeli reconnaissance drone of the Hermes 450 type was detected flying over western Gaza City. This was followed, at 9:38 p.m., by the entry of additional hostile surveillance aircraft into the airspace over the western Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
“Ishara” noted that these aerial movements are part of ongoing and intensified Israeli intelligence-gathering efforts across Gaza, stressing that its teams continue close field monitoring and real-time tracking of all aerial activity amid a persistent state of security alert.
This escalation comes within the broader context of the ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, carried out with U.S. and European backing.
The offensive has taken a genocidal character, involving widespread killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass arrests, in defiance of international appeals and rulings by the International Court of Justice calling for an end to the assault.
The war has resulted in more than 242,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, the majority of them women and children, in addition to over 11,000 reported missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed the lives of many civilians. Vast destruction has also engulfed most cities and residential areas across the Gaza Strip.
The ceasefire agreement, which went into effect on October 10, is still being broken by Israeli forces through frequent bombardment, gunfire, and the destruction of Palestinian homes in different areas of the region.
