At least 25 Palestinian citizens died this evening, Thursday, 17 November 2022, after a huge fire broke out in a residential building in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian sources quoted the Indonesian hospital in northern Gaza as saying, “25 bodies arrived at the hospital, including women and children, from the Jabalia fire, and the number is expected to increase.”
Local sources pointed out that the fire broke out during a family celebration of their father’s return from travel.
The civil defense crews in Gaza announced that they were able to deal with the incident and put out the fire, and the search operations are being completed, while the investigation teams are still looking for the causes of the fire and the final number of victims.
