The Israeli army has claimed, Saturday, July 13th, 2024 that its deadly attack on Al-Muwasi area in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, targeted Muhammad Al-Deif, Al-Qassam Brigades chief.
In response to Netanyahu’s claims justifying the massacre of displaced Palestinians in Khan Yunis, Hamas Deputy Head Khalil al-Hayya stated that Mohammed Deif is now “hearing you and mocks your fabrications.”
Al-Hayya added that Netanyahu wanted to declare a flimsy victory proclamation in his dismal address, accusing him of setting up roadblocks in ceasefire talks and confirming that Netanyahu bears full responsibility if the negotiations fail or stall.
During his press conference following the Israeli massacre of Palestinians in Khan Younis Al-Mawasi area, the Israeli Prime Minister stated that he had “blessed” the bombing operation presented to him by the Shin Bet in the previous day, which was designed to kill Al-Qassam chief, Mohammed Deif.
However, Netanyahu expressed uncertainty about the assassination of Hamas’ military commander Mohammed Deif and his deputy Rafe’ Salameh in the bombing, stressing that Israel wants to eradicate all Hamas leaders “one way or another.”
He also noted that the US understands that assassinations are a fundamental part of Israel’s policy, affirming that Israel will update their “American friends” as necessary.
According to Israeli media reports, Israel used 8 US-made JDAM missiles in its airstrike on Al-Mawasi, an area designated by the Israeli army as safe for displaced Palestinians to set up tents.
The sudden airstrikes killed over 90 Palestinians, including dozens of women and children, and injured at least other 300.
