DaysofPal – In ongoing ceasefire negotiations mediated by Egypt, Hamas has presented a detailed list of core demands aimed at ending Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip and securing long-term stability for its population.
Fawzi Barhoum, a spokesperson for the movement, stated that the delegation is seeking to “overcome all obstacles” to reach an agreement that reflects “the aspirations of our people in Gaza.”
The group’s primary demands include:
A permanent and comprehensive ceasefire
Complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from all areas of Gaza
Unhindered humanitarian and relief aid
Return of displaced persons to their homes
Immediate reconstruction of Gaza under the supervision of a Palestinian technocratic body
A fair prisoner exchange agreement
Barhoum also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of intentionally “obstructing and thwarting” the current and previous rounds of negotiations. He added, “Despite brutal force, unlimited support, and full American partnership in this war of extermination, they have failed—and will continue to fail—to fabricate a false victory.”
The negotiations continue amid growing international pressure for an end to the war, which has led to devastating humanitarian consequences in the Gaza Strip.
